It's time to say goodbye.

Today I regretfully announce that after two years of trying to make Film and TV production better, I will be shutting down OneTake on December 31st, 2018. I am proud of what I was able to accomplish and that I was very close to compete with the Film and TV production softwares out there. I met amazing people in my journey and learned a lot about startup life.

I never thought that people from all around the world would find OneTake organically via Google search, but they did. Having an application that reached places that I would've only dreamed of makes my heart warm, and I thank you for allowing me to experience that feeling.

Unfortunately, I was not able to secure more funding to keep growing and improving the application to meet your needs. There were so many of you how suggested awesome features for OneTake, but without funding is almost impossible to continue expanding on what I created from scratch.

I am pursuing other opportunities in the tech world as a product designer and I hope our path cross again. I do believe that the Film and TV production industry is in dire need of a revamp and only the giants will be able to help the indie filmmaker who is trying to do something amazing and doing what they can to make the world a better place through motion pictures.

Next Steps

We don't have any way to export your work at the moment. To be honest, none of the competitors out there have a way to import any external data. As an alternative to OneTake, you should try https://www.studiobinder.com/ - They are a startup that is making an impact in the production industry.

Please feel free to message me with questions until December 31st, 2018.

I wish you all the best and may you always find what you are looking for in life.
